2018 Wedding Programs
A wedding is one of the most beautiful celebrations in a couples life together. The Barceló Bávaro Grand Resort offers a unique setting for your special day; dreamlike gardens, turquoise sea, white sandy beach and a chapel where the ceremony is celebrated in style with its magnificent altar and the sky as a backdrop.
A wedding specialist, working with you will look after every detail of your event from a simple ceremony to a magnificent spectacle with numerous guests, followed by a lavish banquet. The Barceló Bávaro Grand Resort has a team of professionals and special services so that everything turns out just as you wish.
Wedding Locations and Times:
- Both civil and symbolic weddings can be held on the beach, under one of the Resort gazebos, in the gardens at the Barceló Bávaro Grand Resort
- Catholic weddings (see "For a Catholic Wedding" in the Additional Info section) are celebrated in the San Salvador Chapel on the Resort
- Weddings are celebrated Monday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Wedding packages inclusions cannot be exchanged for other services.
USD300 deposit is required for this wedding packages.
Rooms are not included in the wedding packages.
External photographers/Videographers are not allowed into the Resort

Couples wanting to have a Catholic ceremony performed in the Atlantic Parishes of the Diocese of Altagracia, by a priest can only choose from the wedding packages above and must, prior to their trip to the Dominican Republic, comply with the following:
Requirements:
- The couple must visit the priest in their home parish (at least 6 months in advance) to begin the process. The Resort is NOT responsible for the preparations.
- The couple must complete any pre-marriage courses and wedding banns required in their home country and their Parish Priest must issue a certificate (Nihil Obstat), permitting the priest at the “Atlantic Parishes of the Diocese of Altagracia” Parish (the local Priest) to perform the ceremony
- Once the certificate is received, fax or email a copy to the wedding specialist at your Resort. It must be received at least 2 months prior to the ceremony.
- Bring the original certificate with you.
- The local Parish is responsible for all the legal paperwork with the local government
- The marriage registration will be done by the local Parish. The Resort will send the marriage certificate to the couple, which normally takes up to 6 months
- The ceremony will be held in the “Oratorio Virgen de San Salvador” Chapel located in the Barceló Bávaro Grand Resort Complex. This is the only venue permitted for Catholic ceremonies
- Ask the wedding specialist at the Barceló Bávaro Grand Resort to confirm all the documentation required to fulfill the legal requirements for a Catholic wedding in the Dominican Republic. In order to confirm the date and time of the ceremony, all the required ORIGINAL documents must be sent to the Resort's wedding coordinator at least 2 month prior to the ceremony
- The local priest will approve all of the documents submitted which will be returned to the couple after the ceremony
- The Chapel is available from Monday to Saturday . The actual day and time for a catholic ceremony is subject to availability and must be confirmed by the local priest
