I met Karen at a Destination Wedding event just a couple weeks after I got engaged. After sitting down with Karen for just a few minutes she immediately asked me about my fiance and I and how we were envisioning our wedding. She had great ideas of how to work within a budget as well as thinking outside the box to achieve everything I wanted for our big day. Instantly I felt taken care of and knew that she would be the person I wanted to help plan our wedding. Sean and I had been to one destination wedding a couple of years ago and loved it but that was all we had to compare it to. Initially we thought we could recreate something similar but we quickly realized that our needs were different, our group size was different and the budget we had wasn’t going to work for that scenario.

Karen worked tirelessly to not only find us the perfect resort for our guests at an amazing price point but also find the perfect resort for our dream wedding. She made several budgets that fit a couple of different resorts and we could really compare and see which resort was going to be the best fit for us. Karen was so patient with me and all of our guests and was there every step of the way. Even when had some issues come up (that were not her fault at all) she was immediately reachable.

We ultimately decided on Azul Fives - it offered amazing food, a beautiful resort, a great price point for our guests, it's family friendly and they produce stunning weddings! Karen warned me that Karisma would try and "woo" me with all of their gorgeous add ons but told me that that as long as I was careful I could have my dream wedding within my budget. Not only was she right but we were able to have our dream wedding for about half the price of what we thought we would pay! Before meeting Karen I had never heard of the Karisma brand and now I'm totally converted! We not only had our wedding at Azul Fives but we honeymooned at El Dorado Casistas Royale! We absolutely loved both! Our guests kept commenting on how we couldn't have picked a more perfect setting for our wedding! I really owe it all to Karen, without her we would be stuck having our wedding inside of an ugly ballroom paying double the price! Time and time again I say that after saying "yes"to Sean, deciding to work with Karen was the best decision I made during the planning process! Working with Karen over the last 14 months felt more like working with a good friend who always has your back.
